I will dominate 'credible combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the combatants met personally to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

In spite of such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather targeted former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's biggest financial successes, regularly earning massive earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the usual face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
